## Choose analog when - You already have coax running through the building. - Budget is tight and 2MP is enough. - The site is small and will not grow.
## Choose IP when - You need analytics, ANPR or high-detail zoom on recorded footage. - The site will expand over time. - You want one structured cabling standard for data, Wi-Fi and cameras.
## The hybrid option Many Indian sites run an XVR that accepts both analog and IP inputs. Keep the working analog cameras, add IP where you need detail - entries, cash counters, gates.
## Our recommendation For any new commercial installation in 2026, plan IP over Cat6 with PoE. The cabling is simpler, the upgrade path is open, and the cost gap has narrowed sharply.
