An interactive flat panel replaces the projector, the whiteboard and often the conference PC. Choosing correctly matters because it will be on the wall for years.
## Size it for the room - Up to 20 ft viewing distance - 65" - 20-26 ft - 75" - Over 26 ft or wide classrooms - 86" or larger
Rule of thumb: the farthest viewer should sit no more than 6x the screen height away.
## What to check on the spec sheet - **Touch points** - 20 points for classrooms, 10 is enough for boardrooms. - **Brightness** - 350 nits minimum; go higher for rooms with big windows. - **Panel glass** - anti-glare, toughened, 4mm+. - **Android version and RAM** - this decides how long the panel stays usable. - **OPS slot** - lets you add a Windows PC that slides inside the panel. - **Connectivity** - HDMI in/out, USB-C with power delivery, LAN, screen mirroring.
## Installation matters more than people expect 1. Wall must take the load - use a concrete wall or a mobile stand. 2. Mount centre of screen at eye level for seated viewers. 3. Plan a power socket and LAN point behind the panel, not a trailing extension. 4. Add a UPS if power fluctuates at your site.
